The TransWilts Community - Working Groups

Swindon - Chippenham - Melksham - Trowbridge - Westbury - Dilton Marsh - Warminster - Salisbury. The TransWilts Railway line links the major population centres of Wiltshire to each other, and provides onward travel to Bath and the Greater Bristol area, Frome and the "Heart or Wessex", Southampton and London. But services, stations and publicity are all very limited, and the TransWilts Community Rail Partnership has been formed to bring all the parties together to facilitate the improvement of existing services and facilities, and to work for a better service too

This is the working party / working group area for the TransWilts Community Rail Partnership - set up in 2010, to join the communities along the only North - South railway in Wiltshire in helping to improving facilities, publicity, and (we hope) service levels and timing too. Although this is a new partnership, we're already working closely with other neighbouring partnerships, with the rail industry, with politicians, with special interest groups and with other rail support and campaign groups too.

When you first arrive at this forum, you'll not be logged in and you'll see only a small percentage of what we've got here. Much of the content relates to things like station adoption, distributing timetable leaflets, getting out press releases, and arranging trips and meetings, which is going to be of limited interest initially to people who are only just learning about this fantastic railway route we have in Wiltshire.
